Big Sister

You went to the doctor with mom and grandma eve yesterday and we found out that you are going to be a big sister to a little sister. We are going to have another little girl in the family and now daddy is really going to be out numbered. We are going to name her Addyson Nichole Eve. So now you both will have Mommy's name. You don't know yet what is really going on but you have started calling her AaAa for Addy. I think that you will be a big helper to mom when she gets here.

You have been climbing on things a lot and yesterday and today you were trying to get on the kitchen table and your foot slipped and you have bit your lip twice now. Both time they bled. I think this is your first big owie.

Santa

Well this year we have been tellin g you about Santa a little more so when we take you to get your pictures taken you hopefully will not cry. We have a stuffed one in the livving room and you talk to him all the time and give him loves. You have see the one in the mall a few times and always want to sit on his lap now and say "cheese". So when daddy gets home in a few weeks we are going to take you and get your picture taken.

Growing growing and growing

You are sure starting to be such a big girl. You are trying to talk a little better and love to play with your toys as long as someone will play with you. As of the first of October you got a new big girl bed and have been sleeping good in it. Mommy or daddy has to sleep with you till you fall asleep then we sneak out and you sleep until morning and come and get us.

You were a monkey for Halloween this year and loved it! Mommy was a little sick so grandma eve took you to a few houses and all you wanted to do was go to more.

You are starting to kinda get the idea that mommy has a baby in her tummy. You tell the baby hi and that you love it. Soon enough we will get to find out if it is a boy or a girl. You keep telling us that you want a sissy but I don't think you understand what we are asking you.

You just popped in another tooth so this now make number 11. They are coming slowly but the dentist says that is a good thing. You are still a big snacker and don't eat much at meals but hopefully soon enough you will start. You are still a very healthy little girl and haven't gotten sick yet.

You are learning to count and can count to 5 good and then to 10 it is hit and miss. We are working on your colors but everything is blue or purple.

You love your grandma and grandpas. You ask all the time where they are and we tell you the same thing over and over but you ask again.

You are starting to get in your terrible twos and throw little fits when you dont get your way. You have forgot to say please and thank you. We are also starting to have to dicipline you more.

In the next coming weeks we are going to start working on potty training you. Mommy doesnt know if she is ready for it but I think you are so we are going to give it a try. I hope to have it all done by the time your new brother or sister gets here.

You are such a joy in our lives and mommy and daddy love you very much!!!

August

We have been very busy and you are just on the go all the time. This month we have gone to Nevada with daddy a lot so we get to see him lots. We have been to Elko about 5 or 6 times now and even in one week we were in Nevada, Utah, Idaho and Montana. We are home now for awhile so you can rest from all the driving.

Big Sister

We found out today that you are going to be a big sister. You don't know yet what we mean but when we ask you what is in Mommy's belly you say "baby". I cant wait till you start to understand a little more so you get excited about your sibling coming!!

911 Call

You have been waking up early in the mornings so for mommy to wake up a little I have been giving you my new cell phone to play with. I lock it so you cant get into it an delete anything. As I was laying there I heard a guy saying "Hello, Hello" and then I realized you had called somebody. So i grabbed the phone and said hello and it was the 911 dispatch on the phone and wanted to know if we had an emergency. I had to explain that you called them and i had to reasure them that nothing was wrong. From now on you are not allowed to play with Mommy's phone.

15 months old

Mommy took you to the doctor for your check up today and you did not like it at all. I think each time it gets better but you still cry alot. You got two shots again and that really made you mad. It is for your own good. You weighed 21 pounds 8 ounces. You are 36 1/2 inches tall. The doctor said you are in the 30% for your weight and 97% for your height. So hopefully you will be tall ans skinny. You can point to some of your body parts now, your hair, nose, tongue, button, and sometimes your eyes. You know what a kitty says, a puppy, a duck, and a cow. You are getting to big too fast!!

Another tooth

You have been really fussy lately and mommy just happened to notice that your bottom gums look really swollen. I managed to get my finger in there to feel around and found you have anoher top tooth on your left side. This now makes number seven.

Growing Growing Growing

Well lately Mom can not keep up with you. You are running all over the house getting into everything you can. You used to help me put things away but not anymore. The second i get something put away you pull it out again. Mommy hasn't had any energy lately and the house can tell. You are trying to talk a little better now. Everything is brobe (broke) and dad. You will sit and look out the window and just say "dad, dad, dad" over and over. I think you are starting to catch on that he is not here as often. You love to be naked and have figured out how to take your diaper off. The first time you did this was a couple weeks ago and I couldn't catch you in time for you to pee on the floor. You are not sleeping very well at night. If you are in Mommy and daddy's bed you are fine. Mommy has started to sleep with you in the spare bed cause you move to much and fall off the bed all the time. You are starting to be such a big girl and Mommy cant wait to see what the future holds with you. I love you Brooklin!!!

Teeth

Well you are starting to get more teeth in. The second top one finally popped through and now you are getting both on each side of you top ones. You have been really whiny and on the 18Th you had a really high fever all day and did nothing but want to be held and cuddle. That was a very long day and mom didn't get a whole lot done.

Talking

Well you are sure trying to talk a lot more. You can almost say ball, bird, bye. There are other words that you are trying to say but we still cant quite figure them out. I know soon though you will be rambling on like crazy. You are walking really well know and are even trying to run when mom or dad chases you. It is so funny to hear you scream.

Walking

Well I think I can say that you are officially walking. You still crawl her and there but for the most part you are up and cruising around. You are still wobbly but seem to be doing really well. You don't have to hold on to anything anymore. You like to hold something in both hands and carry it around. Most the time it is your blanket. You have also got back into the routine of sleeping in your own bed which is really nice. Mom and dad like having their bed back to themselves. We seem to sleep a lot better when you are not in there.

Pictures

We got your one year old pictures back and they turned out cute. You cried the whole time but we did manage to get a couple of cute ones. Hopefully the next time you will do better.

Walking

Well you have started to walk a little bit. You still like to crawl because you can go faster. But as long as there is something for you to fall onto when you are walking you do great. You are really starting to jabber a lot and trying to talk more. We are trying to understand but it still hard for us. You like to be outside when it is warm out. We have been trying to take you to the park as much as we can and you seem to love it.

Walking and Talking

You are still not walking yet but you seem to be walking while holding on to something a lot more. You can stand by yourself for hours but when we try to hoax you to walk, you just fall and crawl. You are also trying to talk a lot more. We still do not understand what you are saying but you sure can carry on a good conversation. You know what things are really well. You know your cup, baby,toys, papa, mommy, daddy, grams, books, monkey, puffs, computer, phone, and many more.

Sleeping

Well for about the last week you will have nothing to do with your crib. Whenever daddy or mommy tries to put you to sleep at night you just cry and cry. We eventually go and get you and then you are fine and stay up with us. You have been sleeping with us and it is very difficult. We have never really slept together before so its hard for mommy. She is afraid she is going to roll on top of you. You seem to sleep fine during the day when you take naps but you don't like it at night. Hopefully you will grow out of it soon.

Doctor Appointment

Well today Mommy took you to the doctor to get your shots. As soon as we started to walk down the hall to the room you started to cry. Its amazing how you remember that place. We got you naked to get weighed and you would of thought you had broken a bone or something. You just screamed. Then the doctor came in to examine you and you would not let got of me. He said that you look really healthy. You weigh 19 pounds 4 ounces and 30 inches 1/4 for your heights. Your head was 43 cm. You got three shots today. You were very mad by the end of the visit. It will help you in the long run. Maybe on your next visit you wont be so mad.

Your Birthday

Well today is officially your birthday. I cant believe that you are one. This last year went by so fast!! Today the weather is a lot like it was when you came home. Cold, windy, raining, and snowing. Grandma Eve took you to McDonald's for lunch so you could have nuggets and fries. The things you love most. That afternoon we went and saw Grandpa Clark and then mom and dad took you to the toy store. You were really tired so we went on a drive and you slept. That night daddy made us dinner and had chocolate cake. You got it everywhere. After that we decided to go to Perkins so mom and dad could have some coffee. You were really tired by the time we got home. For the most part I think that you enjoyed your day. Cant wait to see what the next year brings.

Your first year

I can't believe that you are a year old already. It seems like it was yesterday that we were bringing you home from the hospital. You are such a beautiful little girl and have brought so much joy in mine and daddy's lives. You touch everyone that meets you in a very special way. Here are some highlights of my pregnancy and your first year.

7/24/07 - Found out we were pregnant with you. We had been trying for almost 9 months so we were very excited.
7/31/07 - First doctors appointment. He said that everything looked good and your due date was set for March 21, 2008.
8/28/07 - Second doctors appointment. Mommy was very sick with you. She threw up all the time and was very tired but the doctor still said that you looked good. You were hiding from us so we could not hear your heartbeat.
9/4/07 - We went back to the doctor to see if we could hear your heartbeat and we did. It was amazing. That is when it really set in that you were in my belly.
10/2/07 - Another doctors appointment. Still growing really well. Mommy was still very sick. People could tell now that you were coming into the world.
10/20/07 - We had to get up early today and flew to Boise for Mommy's work. We didn't get home till late as well and mommy was exhausted.
11/2/07 - We went to the doctor today and found out that you were going to be a little girl!!!! we were so excited. Everyone thought that you were going to be a boy. Me and daddy went shopping and bought you your first two outfits. We had been waiting a long time to do that.
11/30/07- Doctors appointment. Mommy still had not gained any weight from you. But the doctor said that is was OK.
12/28/07 - Doctors appointment. Everything was still looking good. Mommy was starting to feel better. You were not an active baby but when I felt you move it was like you were running a marathon. You had the hiccups all the time. What a neat feeling that was.
1/19/08 - We headed to Montana for your baby shower. It was a very nice day. Lots of people came and you got lots of great gifts.
1/25/08 - Another doctors appointment. After this appointment we start to go into him every 2 weeks. You are getting so big. Mommy has started to gain weight now and I can feel it. It is getting very hard to sleep at night.
2/6/08 - We traveled to Winnemuca Nevada to visit daddy for 5 days. It was very nice to get away. We did lots of relaxing. Mommy had to stop every couple of hours to rest and go to the bathroom.
2/11/08 - Doctors appointment. We now have to start coming every week until you decide to make your entrance on the world.
2/22/08 - Doctors appointment.
2/29/08- Doctors appointment.
3/1/08 - We had another baby shower for you today. All of Mommy's friends came along with both grandmas.
3/7/08 - Doctors appointment. He started to check mommy to see if you were coming yet. But no luck. You were still having fun in my belly.
3/14/08 - Doctors appointment. We were hoping for some good news today but no luck.
3/21/08 - Doctors appointment. Its your due date and we were hoping to be going to the hospital. But you were still not coming out. Daddy had only 2 more weeks home and wanted to spend all of them with you. The doctor said that if nothing had happened over the next 2 days that we were going to go to the hospital on Sunday and he would induce me to get you out of there.
3/23/08 -Easter Sunday. We go to the hospital and get started on all the machines and paper work. It wasn't until midnight when mommy started to feel the contractions. The next morning mommy was in a lot of pain but you still did not want to come out. My water broke and that is when the doctor decided that you had to come out. We got ready and headed for the surgery room. Mommy was so excited for you to come. I had been waiting a long time. We called both grandparents and they were on their way. Daddy had to wear a funny looking outfit. You made your presence at 12:01 p.m. weighing in at 8 pounds and 21 inches long. You had a full head of hear and didn't really cry. Daddy got to hold and feed you and was just in 7th heaven. You were such a good baby. You only cried if you were hungry. You slept a lot. Everyone came to see you at the hospital. They all thought you were beautiful.
3/26/08 - We got to go home from the hospital today. It was cold and snowy. Mommy and daddy both were really tired from not getting much sleep. You were so good. You just slept and ate a lot.
3/28/08 - We took you to your first doctors appointment today. You lost a little bit of weight but the doctor said that was normal.
4/11/08 - Today was your 2 week check up. You had caught a cold and was congested. No jaundice which is good and the doctor said you weighed 8 pounds and 11 ounces and was 21 1/2 inches long. Your head was 36 cm. You are growing like a weed.
4/26/08- Today was the first time mommy and daddy left you with grandma for a day. Mommy wasn't worried at all.
5/15/08 - We went on your first camping trip this weekend. You got to ride on the 4 wheeler for the first time too. This was also the first night you slept the whole night!
5/27/08 - Today was your 2 month check up. You weighed 11 pounds 15 ounces and was 22 1/2 inches long. Your head was 39.5 cm. Still growing good.
6/20/08 - This was your first trip out of the state. We headed to Montana for great grandma and grandpa Olsen's 50th wedding anniversary. You were such a trooper. This was also your first time swimming.
6/28/08 - Another trip to Montana to meet the Eve family. Everyone thought your were a doll.
7/15/08 - This was your first trip to Utah. We went to the zoo and also did lots of swimming.
7/21/08 - 4 month check up. You weighed 14 pounds 2.5 ounces and was 25 inches long. Your head was 41 cm. We started to feed you some baby food, and you loved it!
8/1/08 - We were in Elko and this was about the time you started to roll over by yourself. You would get half way and get stuck and cry.
8/31/08 - State fair time. We went and saw lots of animals. You were so happy that day.
9/22/08 - We had our first professional pictures taken. You didn't like the lady very much. You were also very tired.
9/24/08 - 6 Months old today. You weighed 16 pounds 1 ounce and was 26 3/4 inches. Your head was 43cm. You can almost sit up on your own. You are still a little wobbly but you are getting it figured out.
10/31/08 - First Halloween. You were a wiggle worm.
11/14/08 - We took a trip to Elko to see daddy and this was the weekend you really started to crawl. It took you a little while to figure it out but now, look out.
11/27/08 - First thanksgiving. You can pull yourself up onto things
12/22/08 - Went to the doctor for your 9 month check up. You weighed 17 pounds 14 ounces and was 28 1/2 inches long. Your head was 45cm.
12/25/08 - First Christmas. You didn't quite understand the concept of opening the presents so mommy and daddy helped you.
1/21/09 - Whenever music would come on you would start to move like you were dancing.
2/10/09 - You got your first tooth today. It was on the bottom right side. And then two days later the left bottom one came through as well.
3/14/09 - We had your birthday party today. You had so many people come. And you got tons of clothes and toys.
3/22/09 - We did your first year pictures today and you cried the whole time. We did manage to get a couple good ones. And you also popped through your top right tooth today. That makes a total of 3.
